4 Cups self-rising flour, sifted
3/4 stick butter softened and cubed
dash salt
1/2 cup buttermilk
1/2 cup hot tap water



Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour and salt.
Blend flour/salt mixture and butter with a pastry cutter or large fork
Add liquid gradually to make the batter a thick but pliable consistency.
Using plenty of flour to avoid sticking, roll out the biscuit dough and cut with biscuit cutter or form them with your hands.
Bake on cookie sheet for 20 minutes at 350º
To Brown, broil for 1-2 minutes.
