1 cup of butter
1 cup of packed brown sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp of vanilla
2 1/3 cups of flour
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp of baking soda
3/4 tsp of baking powder
2 cups of flaked coconut
1 cup of oat meal
3/4 cup of chopped walnuts

Pre heat oven to 375 , in a large bowl cream butter and brown sugar till light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla. In another bowl whisk together all the dry ingredients. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. Stir in the oatmeal coconut and walnuts. Drop by tablespoons 2 inches apart on an increased cookie sheet , or make one great big cookie and use the whole batch on a cookie sheet. To toast nuts use a shallow pan in an oven at 350 for five - 10 minutes or cook on stove top stirring occasionally until lightly browned.
