1 c. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. baking soda
3 c. Quick oats
1/2 c. mixed nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add beaten eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt, cinnamon, and baking soda together. Add to sugar mixture. Add oatmeal and nuts. Shape into rolls, wrap in waxed paper and chill over night. Slice rolls 1/4 inch thick and bake on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350º for 8 to 10 minutes.
