¾ cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg
¼ cup molasses
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 ½ teaspoon ginger
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Additional sugar for rolling


Directions:
Directions:
In mixing bowl cream shortening and sugar. Beat in the egg and molasses,
In a separate bowl combine flour, baking soda, ginger and cinnamon and
Gradually add to the creamed mixture. Roll out dough into small balls about an inch in size
Dip balls into a bowl with sugar and roll around. Then place on cookie sheet and bake at 350 for about 12 minutes but no more than 15 minutes
