1/2 c. shortening
1-1/2 c. sugar, divided
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream or butter milk
1/4 c. nuts
3 tsp. cinnamon.

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and 1 c. sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Dissolve baking soda in sour cream. Add sour cream mixture, flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla to previous mixture and mix well. Separate dough into 2 pieces. Make a filling out of the nuts, 1/2 c. sugar and cinnamon. Place one piece of dough on the bottom of greased loaf or tube pan. Sprinkle filling on top of dough. Place the other piece of dough on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hr.
