1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 medium whole egg or 2 small egg yolks
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking powder
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 400º
Cream together butter and sugar. Blend in egg. Sift together salt, baking soda and flour and add to mixture. Then add vanilla into mixture.

Preheat oven. Roll out dough and cut out cookies with cookie cutters. Bake on a cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes. Let cookies cool and then ice/decorate with your favorite icing.
