2 ½ Cups of White Flour
½ Cup Margarine
1 ¾ Tsp. Baking Soda
1 Cup of Molasses
1 Tsp. Cinnamon
1 Cup Boiling Water
¼ Tsp. Cloves or
2 Eggs
¼ Tsp. Salt
1 Cup Sugar

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Sift dry ingredients together. Cream together-margarine, sugar, eggs and molasses. Mix in dry ingredients alternately with the boiling water. Pour into greased baking dish. Bake 30 min.

I used to make this cake for Kurt's mother Leona when she was living with us. She always loved molasses. I certainly came to like it also. We still remember her when I bake it.
