BOURBON BALLS: Soak 3 Cups pecan halves in bourbon overnight.
Mix: 1 can Eagle Brand Milk , 1 stick melted Butter, 1 tsp. Vanilla & 1 tsp. Salt.....To above mixture, add at least 2 1/2 boxes powdered Sugar. When spoon no longer works, use your fingers to work the mixture....If needed, add sm amounts of bourbon or milk ...Divide this mixture into 4 parts & freeze until it hardens like ice cream. Form small balls with the pecan half in center. Place on cookie sheet & place in freezer until hard enough to dip....With toothpick, dip each ball into chocolate mixture of:....8 oz. semi-sw Chocolate, 3/4 tsp. Butter & 1/4 stick of Paraffin. Melt the above ingredients in DB & keep warm until all bourbon balls are dipped.

KY BROWN SUGAR CANDY:

1 lb. light brown Sugar, 1 stick Butter, dash of Salt & 3/4 C. Cream.

Combine all ingredients & boil to not quite, hard ball stage...(Use a candy thermometer). Cool a moment & beat - adding 1 T. Rum, Whiskey or Vanilla. When it begins to stiffen, quickly spread on buttered plate.
Cut and Cool.

When my nephews Tim & Ricky were teens, I made these for them & they thought they were big stuff. I'm so glad they will have a good memory of their Aunt Rita - booze & all.
