3 cups sugar, 1 cup milk, 4 tbsp. butter, 13/4 cup peanut butter, 1/8 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Combine milk and sugar in heavy med sauce pan, stirring to dissolve sugar and then bring to boil over med heat till forms soft ball.(check tiny amt in cold water till you see soft ball formed). Remove from heat. Add rest of ingredients, stir tell well melted together, sit pan in few inches cold water( about 2-3 inches in sink), stir until it feels stiff enough to pour out onto buttered plate without running. should almost fill plate but stay nice and thick, not runny. Once cooled, slice into bite size pieces.
