1 c water
4 squares melted chocolate
2 c flour
2 t baking powder
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
2 c sugar
1/2 c shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c milk w/ 2 T vinegar
1 t vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Boil water. Add chocolate. Let cool.

Sift together dry ingredients. Add shortening.

Add dry ingredients and shortening to cooled chocolate mix. Mix well, about 2 minutes. Add unbeaten eggs, sour milk, and vanilla. Beat well. Bake at 350º in a tube pan for 1 hour (insert toothpick). If using a layer pan, bake 40 minutes (insert toothpick).
