Directions:
Salad
Wash spinach thoroughly, remove stems, drain well (or spin in a salad spinner) and refrigerate to crisp. When ready to serve, add 4 to 6 tablespoons French dressing and toss gently. Add bacon grease, garlic salt and bacon and toss. Garnish with grated egg.

French Dressing
Mix all together well. (I measure and mix in an old glass baby bottle. You can just follow the ounce marks. It makes exactly one bottle full. It well keep for a long time, if you don't use it right away.) Serve on any tossed green salad or with avocados. This makes the Spinach Salad.

Personal Notes:
"To make a perfect salad, four persons are needed: a miser for the vinegar, a spendthrift for the oil, a wise man for the salt and a madcap to mix the ingredients."
