2 c. cake flour
1 1/3 c. sugar
2 1/2 t. baking powder
3/4 t. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. less 2 T. milk
1 1/2 t. vanilla
2 eggs, beaten
Directions:
Directions:
Sift dry ingredients. Drop in shortening. Add 2/3 of the milk and vanilla. Beat. Add eggs and remaining milk. Beat. Pour into 2 greased layer pans. Bake at 350*

This cake is good with either an icing or served with a chocolate sauce. (I prefer the sauce)
