1 cup softened margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1-1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2-1/2 tsp vanilla extract
2-1/2 cups flour
3/4 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1-1/2 twelve-ounce bags semisweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. In a large mixing bowl, cream together margarine, sugars, eggs, and vanilla. In another bowl, mix together the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda and chocolate chips. Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Place golf-ball sized dough portions 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 9-10 minutes or just until edges are light brown.
Makes 2 dozen cookies.
