2 lbs stew beef cut into 1 inch pieces
1 envelope onion soup mix
1 10.5 oz can cream of mushroom soup
1 4oz can whole mushrooms
1/2 cup red cooking wine*

Cook on low 8-12 hrs or high 5-6 hours. Serve over rice or egg noodles.

*I was specifically instructed to use the kind of red cooking wine you find on the baking aisle.
