1 c. Water
1/2 c. Butter
1/3 c. Cocoa
2 eggs
3/4 c. Greek yogurt
1/2 c. Unsweetened Apple sauce
1 c. Whole wheat flour
1 c. White flour
1 1/2 c. Sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
Chocolate frosting:
1/2 c. Butter
1/3 c. Cocoa
6 Tbsp. Milk
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. Powdered sugar


Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Add the butter, water, and Cocoa to a medium sized microwave bowl. Cook for about 2 1/2 minutes whisking every 30 seconds until melted and smooth.
In medium sized bowl add eggs, yogurt, and applesauce and whisk until smooth. Set aside.
In a large bowl combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Whisk together. Add warm chocolate mixture and stir to combine. Lastly add the yogurt mixture and stir again until combined. The batter may have a few lumps but that is ok.
Pour into a slightly greased jelly roll pan and bake for 15-20 minutes.
To make frosting: melt the butter in a microwave safe bowl. Add Cocoa and whisk until smooth. Whisk in milk and vanilla and lastly powdered sugar. Pour over cake and frost to edges. Let cake cool and frosting set completely before serving.
