1/2 c. margarine, softened
1 c. brown sugar
1 egg
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 t. soda
1 t. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Cream method. Form into roll and wrap in wax paper. Chill or freeze. Slice 1/8" thick. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 350* for 8 - 10 minutes.

Chocolate Nut version: Add 1 c. chopped nuts and 1 1/2 oz. melted chocolate to batter.

Put slices together with icing
