6 room temperature large eggs
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 3/4 sticks Imperial margerine, melted and cooled (= 1 cup melted margarine)
3 1/2 cups sifted Gold Medal all purpose or Pillsbury flour
4 tsp. baking powder
Anise oil or 2 tsp vanilla extract

Directions:

1. Put iron on to get hot about 5-6 minutes.
2. Spray once with non-stick spray.
3. In small bowl mix together flour, powder.
4. In large bowl beat eggs. Slowly add sugar.
5. When margarine is cooled, add to above egg mixture.
6. Add extract.
7. Add flour mixture and mix for several minutes until well mixed. Dough should be shiny looking.
8. Bake in pizzelle machine until golden.
