3/4 c packed brown sugar
1/2 c white sugar
1/4 c margarine
3/4 c applesauce (pref. unsweetened)
2 egg whites
2 TB milk
2 tsp vanilla
3 c oatmeal
1 1/2 c flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1 c chocolate chips

Directions:
Blend sugars, margarine, applesauce, egg, milk, and vanilla. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bake for 12 minutes at 350, until edges are barely golden brown. Cool on cookie sheet for 1 minute. Remove to racks and cool completely. Store layered between wax paper.
