1 cup flour
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp Crisco
1/2 tsp salt
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup milk
soft butter
brown sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Mix and sift dry ingredients, cut in shortening until dough is mealy. Add milk gradually. Turn out on floured board. Knead a few seconds. Roll out to 1/2" thickness. Cut with 1" cutter. Spread each biscuit with soft butter and sprinkle with brown sugar. Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
