1/2 cup butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/3 cup heavy cream (may need a bit more)
1 lb. confectioners' sugar
1 t. vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
2. Stir in brown sugar and cream.
3. Bring to a boil, and transfer to a mixing bowl.
4. Add confectioners' sugar and vanilla.
5. Beat until it reaches a spreading consistency. At this time, it may be necessary to add cream in small amounts because you can always "add to," but you can't take away. 6. Frost cake and sprinkle top with chopped nuts, if desired.
