Ingredients:  
2 c. bread cubes
2 c. milk
3 tbsp. butter
1/4 c. sugar
2 eggs
dash of salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
Place cubes in 1 qt. baking dish. Pour over the scalded butter, milk, and sugar with the eggs and vanilla added.

Bake in crock pot or in water pan in oven at 350º.

Optional: Cardamon may be added or even raisins.
