1 3/4 cup flour
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1tsp allspice
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
1 egg well beaten
1 cup apple sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Set oven to 350º. Grease loaf pan Sift together flour and next 6 ingredients. Cream shortening in bowl,slowly add sugar and beat in egg. Stir in applesauce.Add in dry ingredients stirring only to blend. Turn into pan and bake 50-60 minutes.
