"As viscous as motor oil swirled in a swamp, redolent of burnt bell peppers nested in by incontinent mice and a finish reminiscent of the dregs of a stale can of Coca-Cola that someone has been using as an ashtray. Not a bad drink, though."--Excerpt from "The Moose Turd Wine Tasting" by T. A. Nonymous

Ingredients:
flour
1 c. chicken broth
1 tsp. salt

Directions:
Directions:
In Aunt Lotties words, "Put flour in a bowl and add the fat off the top of the chicken broth and salt. Mix in flour until it is not sticky. Put flour on table or board, pinch off the dough in small pieces. Roll each one out as thin as you can without tearing the dough. Cut crosswise and lengthwise in pieces 1 1/2 inches long or longer if desired. Get your chicken broth hot and boiling real good and drop in dumplings, just move them around so they won't stick. Do not stir too much, they will mush up. Have plenty of broth so they won't be too thick with dumplings. Cook a little bit til done, turn off heat and cover."

Personal Notes:
Personal Notes:
Cater Family Memory from Susan: After watching Aunt Lottie make these every summer, I asked her to write out the recipe. She laughed and said it was just a handful of this and a pinch of that but this is what she wrote for me. I'm still not sure I can do it, but it so nice to have it in her own words. This was my absolute favorite while growing up!
