1 cup (2 sticks) margarine, room temperature
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 1/2 teaspoons almond extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup (6 ounce package) chocolate morsels

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º.

In a large mixer bowl combine margarine and sugar. Beat until light and fluffy.

Add egg and almond extract. Beat until smooth.

Combine flour and salt. Gradually blend into creamed mixture.

Spoon dough into a pastry bag fitted with a 1/2" open star tip. Pipe dough onto baking sheets in 3" strips.

Bake for 7-10 minutes or until golden. Cool on wire racks.

Melt chocolate in top of double boiler over hot, not boiling, water. Dip both ends of cookies into chocolate. Place on wire racks until set.

Yields about 3 1/2 dozen cookies.
