½ cup water
1 Tbsp yeast
¼ cup shortening
½ cup sugar
1 tsp salt
1 cup boiling water
1 cup evaporated milk
2 eggs, beaten
7 ½ cups flour
Oil for frying
Powdered sugar for dusting

Directions:
Directions:
Pour ½ cup water and yeast into bowl to dissolve. Combing shortening, sugar, and salt in large bowl. Pour the boiling water over the mixture and add evaporated milk. Mix and let cool down, then add yeast and water and beat in eggs. Slowly mix in flour, cover with plastic and refrigerate for 30 -60 minutes.

Roll dough out on floured surface and cut into shapes. Fry in oil until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
