Ingredients:  
1 quart (4 cups) milk
1 pint (2 cups) water
Lump of butter
2 tablespoons sugar
Rind of 1 lemon
1 teaspoon lemon extract
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup Farina
Egg, beaten
Bread crumbs
Crisco or vegetable oil to fry
Powdered sugar to sprinkle

Directions:
Directions:
Boil all ingredients, except Farina, egg, and bread crumbs.

Add Farina and cook stirring for about 45-60 minutes.

Put in a flat dish and cool overnight.

Cut into diamond shapes. Dip in beaten egg and bread crumbs.

Deep fry for 5-10 minutes. Drain on brown paper.

When ready to serve, sprinkle with powdered sugar.
