BATTER:
1 c butter, room temp
2 c sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
5 c flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda

FROSTING:
1/2 c butter, room temp
1/2 c shortening
1 tsp vanilla
pinch of salt
4 c powdered sugar
5 T milk

Directions:
Directions:
For the bars, cream the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time and mix well. Mix the dry ingredients together in a separate bowl. Add the vanilla to the creamed mixture and then slowly add the dry ingredients. Press into a greased 9x13 pan and bake at 375º for 10-15 minutes. For the frosting, beat the shortening and butter until creamy. Add vanilla and powdered sugar. Gradually add the milk until the desired consistency is reached. Frost the cooled bars. Refrigerate.
