3-4 lbs short ribs
1 8 oz can tomato sauce
2 tbsp molasses
2 tbsp cider vinegar
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tbsp onion flakes
1 tsp liquid smoke

Directions:
Directions:
Sprinkle salt and pepper on the short ribs and place in a casserole. Combine tomato sauce, molasses, vinegar, liquid smoke and onion flakes in a small pan, bring to a boil and simmer 5 minutes. Pour over the ribs and bake, covered, in 275º oven for 3-4 hours. Spoon off fat before serving.

Dad loved this recipe, he would start it in the oven on his lunch hour and dinner would be well on the way when they got home from work.
