2 eggs - room temperature
2 cups sugar
2 sticks butter - softened
Cream these together for 2 to 3 minutes

Mix this separately
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla

Combine separately
4 1/2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. salt
3 heaping teaspoons baking powder

Directions:

385º for 11 to 13 min.

Cream together eggs, sugar and butter. Then alternately add buttermilk mixture and flour mixture till all combined.
Place parchment paper on cookie sheets. I use the Pampered Chef medium size scoop and put 6 cookies on a sheet. Sprinkle with colored sugar or gran. sugar before baking.

Keep an eye on them. It make take little longer depending on your oven. When you see the edges turning brown I take them out of the oven.
