Ingredients:
Ingredients:
¾ C melted butter (not margarine)
1 C Sugar
¼ C Molasses
1 egg
2 tsp Baking Soda
2 C Flour
½ tsp Cloves
½ tsp Ginger
1 tsp Cinnamon
½ tsp Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Beat the butter and sugar then add the molasses and egg. In a separate bowl mix the flour, baking soda, salt, and spices...add this to the butter mixture. Beat well.

Chill and form into balls then roll in sugar.
Bake on ungreased sheet for 8-10 minutes at 350º.
Very carefully take them off the sheet immediately; they will be thin and floppy.

* I take them out at exactly 8 minutes for chewy cookies, for crunchy cookies leave them in a bit longer
