1 c. unsalted butter or margarine
2 c. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 t. salt
2 egg yolks
3 T. poppy seeds
1 t. vanilla extract
3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
1. Beat butter until soft. Add sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg
yokes and vanilla extract.

2. On waxed paper stir together flour, salt and poppy seeds.
Gradually add dry ingredients to batter. Cover and chill.

3. When chilled shape into 1 inch balls, place on greased baking
sheet 1 inch apart. Make a thumb size indentation in top of each
ball; do not flatten. Bake at 375F for 10 minutes. Cool.

4. Melt chocolate chips in top of double boiler and drop t. melted
chocolate on each cookie.
