Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 lb butter
1 c. brown sugar
1 c. corn starch
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Beat all together well. You will need to use a wooden spoon to incorporate all the flour. Chill the dough for an hour.

There are a couple of ways to proceed from here. You can roll the dough on a floured board or counter top and cut out shapes with cookie cutters. Kids love doing this. Bake at 350 for about 12 mins. until golden. Don't over bake. Decorate as you wish.

Or you can pinch off a tsp or so of the dough, roll it in your hands to a ball and place about 2" apart on cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. I put a piece of a cherry on the top of the ball and bake as above.
