Directions:
In a mixing bowl stir in yeast with one cup warm water and dissolve, add the other cup of warm water. Add shortening, sugar and salt. Stir vigorously and mash lumps of shortening against the side of bowl as you sift the flour in one cup at a time.
Stir until the dough is firm.
Smooth down and cover with cloth. Let rise until double in size (about 1 1/2 hours) Do Not let get too warm or sit on hot stovetop!
When dough has doubled, turn out onto a floured board or counter top, knead lightly until you can cut or pinch them into rolls.
Place into a greased pan and let rise again, approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
Brush tops with melted butter, bake in oven at 350 until browned (about 20 minutes)
