2 cups sugar
2 cups flour
2 sticks butter
4 tablespoons cocoa
1 cup water
1/2 cup buttermilk
2 eggs slightly beaten
1 teaspoon each soda and vanilla
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Mix sugar and flour in a large bowl.
Heat cocoa, butter and water in a saucepan until boiling, stirring occasionally.
Add cocoa mixture to flour and sugar. Beat until combined.
Add remaining ingredients and beat well.
Pour into a greased and floured 11 X 16" pan and bake at 350º for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes clean.

This was the first recipe that I ever made. It came from "Aunt Sis" who lived in Stephenville and she was the sweetest person who ever lived. She was the sister of "Aunt" Pat.
