1/2 Bushel ripe, dried mesquite beans, broken into several pieces, doused with
2 C. Lemon juice and
3-4 Qts. water
Cook above in a large pot over low heat for 1 hour
For each 5 cups of liquid Add:
1 Box pectin and
7 1/2 C. Sugar

Directions:
Cook each batch of 5 cups liquid, 1 box pectin, 7 1/2 C. sugar for 5 minutes, pour into sterilized jars and process in boiling water bath for 10 minutes.
