1 lb. fresh chicken livers
1 large onion
1/4 lb. fat
1/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. paprika
1 hard boiled egg, grated

Directions:
Directions:
Rinse and clean the livers. Dice the onion. Add the livers to the hot fat in a frying pan to sauté. Add the onion, salt and paprika toward the end of the browning so as not to burn off the paprika and over cook the onions.

Cool and then grate the mixture and the hard cooked egg into a pate.

To prepare it kosher-wise as Mumma did:
Salt the livers before pricking each on long handled fork over an open flame and slightly brown before following the above directions.
