8 cups of bread cubes
3/4 cup melted butter
1 1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped celery
1 lb sausage browned (no casing)
2 tsp. poultry seasoning
2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 cup of chicken or turkey stalk
1 egg slightly beaten

Melt butter and saute onion and celery.
Add browned sausage meat and toll to combine. Remove from heat and add to bread cubes. Add seasoning, stock and beaten egg and mix well.

At this point grandma would put stuffing in turkey. I bake in oven or crock pot. I add a 2 nd egg if needed and more stock to have a moist stuffing since not getting the juices form the turkey

Grandma also adds some browned ground pork to the mixture.
