3-4 large ham hock
2 quarts water
2 cloves of garlic, or more
1 sounded table spoon of sugar
Freshly ground pepper
Salt as needed
1 bag of Great Northern Beans

Directions:
Clean beans and remove any rocks or gravel. Soak beans in super size container of water stirring frequently for two hours
Combine beans with additional ingredient's into large soup pot and bring to a boil. Simmer for 3-4 hours.
