8 cups rolled oats
1 1/2 cup wheat germ
1 1/2 cup oat bran
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup finely chopped almonds
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 cup finely chopped walnuts
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup maple syrup
3/4 cup honey
1 cup vegetable oil
1 tbs cinnamon
1 tbs vanilla
2 cups craisins
chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Combine oats, wheat germ, oat bran, sunflower seeds, almonds, pecans and walnuts. Stir together salt, brown sugar, maple syrup, honey, oil, cinnamon and vanilla in saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat. Pour over the dry ingredients and stir to coat. Spread the mixture evenly on baking sheets. Bake in preheated oven until crispy and toasty (about 30 minutes). Watch closely so as not to burn. Cool. Add craisins and chocolate chips.

This is a wonderful treat and it makes a lot of granola. Claire's teachers love when I make it because I always send some to them. I use Trader Joe's dried cranberries with a hint of orange. Chocolate chips are optional. Add to taste.
