1 cup of brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup rolled oats, (oatmeal)
1 1/4 flour
1 tsp baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
1. Mix everything together.

2. Roll into balls.

3. Take a fork, dip in milk and mash the cookie.

4. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 minutes
