Ingredients:
Ingredients:
4 cups freshly picked blackberries (or berries you picked and froze last summer)
1 scant cup sugar
1/4 cup minute tapioca
Pillsbury ready to use pie crust

Directions:
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425º. In a 9 inch pie plate, lay out one crust, over the bottom, and up the sides of the pan.

2. Clean the berries and then gently mix them with the sugar and tapioca. Place the berry mixture in the prepared pie pan. Top the berry mixture with the second crust, and seal the edges, Prick the top with a fork, or create a design in the crust!

3. Bake the pie for 45 minutes, or until the filling is happily bubbling through the openings in the top crust. Keep sharp watch...you may need to reduce the oven heat, or cover the edges of the pie crust to keep them from getting too brown.

4. Serve warm, with a dollop of ice cream.

Personal Notes:
Picking wild blackberries with my Mom is a treasured memory of my childhood, and a tradition I continued with my sons and grandchildren. Blackberry pie still tops the request list at family dinners. Proof positive of the love of God? The summer blackberry. Proof positive of my love for my family? The blackberry pie.
