1 c. (2 sticks) margarine or butter, softened
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)
3 c. quick oats, uncooked
1 c. raisins

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven 350º. Beat together margarine, and sugars until creamy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well. Stir together in separate bowl, flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix well with sugar mixture. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop rounded tablespoonful onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 1 minute on cookie sheet then remove to wire rack to finish cooling

If you want to make these into a bar cookie, spread mixture evenly into an ungreased 13x9 inch metal baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
