1 (8 oz.) pkg cream cheese
1 egg
1/3 c. sugar
1/8 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. semisweet chocolate pieces
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. water
1/3 c. salad oil
1 tsp. vanilla
1 T. vinegar
Sugar for sprinkling on top

Combine cheese, egg, 1/3 c. sugar and 1/8 tsp. salt in mixing bowl; beat well. Stir in chocolate pieces and set aside. Mix together flour, 1 c. sugar, cocoa, 1/2 tsp. salt and baking soda. Add water, oil, vinegar and vanilla. Beat to mix well. Line muffin pan cups with paper baking cups. Fill one-third full with cocoa batter. Top each with 1 heaping teaspoon reserved cream cheese mixture; sprinkle with sugar. Bake 350º for 35 minutes.
