1 c. crisco
1/2 c. light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 egg
2 c. milk
2 tsp. vanilla
3 3/4 c. quick cooking oats
1 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 1/4 c. raisins
1 1/4 c. chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans)

Preheat over to 375ºf
Grease baking sheet with crisco
Cream crisco, brown sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla in large bowl at medium speed until well blended
Combine oats, salt baking soda and cinnamon
Add to creamed mixture gradually, beating at low speed until blended
Stir in raisins and nuts
Drop dough by heaping spoonful about 5cm apart
Bake for 10 to 12 min
