1 onion, chopped
2 T. butter, melted
2 small sweet potatoes,peeled and cubed
1/2 bunch fresh broccoli, chopped
1-2 zucchini (depending on size), chopped
1tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp. celery seed
2 (141/2oz) cans chicken broth
1 large potato, peeled and shredded
1 cup milk

In a slow cooker stir together the onion,butter,sweet potatoes,zucchini, and broccoli. Pour in chicken broth and stir. Add the potatoes ,celery seed,salt, pepper, and ground cumin ,stir. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours.
Add milk and cook for 30 minutes or until heated through.

I cooked this on top of the stove and it was fine.

A soup you can serve your vegetarian friends-one of my favorites. I am often asked for this recipe.
Preparation time varies :peeling and chopping 20 minutes; on top of the stove cooking-until vegetables are tender.
