2 c. flour
pinch salt
1 tsp. baking powder
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg, beaten
2/3 c. milk
1 1/2 c. glace cherries

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, salt, baking powder and sugar
Blend then cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture is fin and crumbly
Mix in the beaten egg with just enough of the milk to create a stiff batter
Fold in the cherries until evenly distributed and turn the batter into an oiled 8x4 inch loaf pan
Bake at 350ºf for 1 hour and 15 min
Allow to cool and sit for 12 hours before cutting
