Put ground beef and ground pork in large roasting pan. (3lbs of each)
Cover with water
Keep stirring until meat is cooked (brown)
When cooked add Lipton Onion Soup according to taste,
usually 6 to eight envelopes.
Cook 10 lbs of potatoes and mash, don't add butter or milk.
When meat is cooked add mashed potatoes
Fill pie shells

Bake at 425 for 45 to 55 minutes or until crust is brown...Makes about ten pies......

The fun part of making these meat pies was Mom would come over every year to coach me and to make sure I made these pies just the way she made them. Then it was my daughters and my granddaughter who came over to learn how to make them the way grandma used to make them. It turned into a family tradition, even my Great grandson Brady has been known to roll the dough...
