3/4 cup Shortening
1 cup Brown sugar
1/4 cup Molasses
1 Egg
1 tsp. Cloves
2 cups Flour
1/4 tsp. Salt
2 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Ginger

Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening and brown sugar, add molasses and egg, stir well.

Mix dry ingredients then add to other mixture and mix well.

Chill the dough in the fridge for about an hour.

Roll into 1" or smaller balls then roll the balls in sugar to coat. Bake at 375º for 7-10 minutes.
