2 c. butter
2 c. white sugar
2 c. brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla extract
4 c. flour
5 c. rolled oats
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
24 oz. chocolate chips
1 8-oz. Hershey bar, grated
3 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350º F (175º C)
2. In a blender or food processor, pulse the oats until you have oat flour.
3. In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add eggs and vanilla, then beat until thoroughly combined.
4. In a second bowl, combine dry ingredients.
5. Add dry ingredients to wet ingredients 2 cups at a time, mixing thoroughly after each addition. Stir in chocolate chips, grated chocolate, and nuts.
6. Drop rounded tablespoons of cookie dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, 2 inches apart. Bake for 6-8 minutes. Let rest for 1 minute on pan before removing to a plate to cool.
