2 c, milk
1/2 c. sugar
1 tbsp salt
1/2 c. shortening, melted
3 small envelopes dry yeast
3 egg yolks
1 whole egg
5-6 c. flour
Pie filling of your choice

Directions:
Directions:
Add beaten eggs to dissolved yeast, add milk and shortening, then beat in dry ingredients. Let rise until double in size. Make walnut size balls from dough. Let rise about 15 minutes. Press holes in the center of the balls of dough. Place 1 tsp filling in each. Brush dough with melted butter. Let rise again for 1o minutes.

Bake at 425º for 10-15 minutes. Brush with butter and allow to cool.

Strudel topping: 1/3 c butter, 1/3 c sugar, 1/2 c flour
